Jordan 11 Retro Low
This Jordan 11 Retro Low has a high class appearance thanks to its exquisite suede upper and fine detailing. Built upon a translucent outsole with a pale blue tinge running through it, the shoe provides sturdy grip underfoot via the herringbone indentations in the dark navy pods set below the forefoot and heel, as well as the rippling tread patterns on the rest of the outsole. Apparent through this partially see-through area is a carbon fibre plate that both helps to support the foot and presents an eye-catching aesthetic via its grid decoration and the teal Jumpman located in its centre.
With traction taken care of, the white Phylon foam midsole deals with comfort through its spongy cushioned interior. Above it, the upper switches to contrasting shades of navy, firstly with Binary Blue on the textured leather mudguard, then with the lighter hue of Blue Moon on the suede quarter panel and heel overlay. While the leather has a pleasant sheen to it, the suede delivers an appealing matte effect. On each side of the quarter, Blue Moon textile strips reach from the lower edge to the sides of the tongue, forming loops there to hold the laces, which come in the same tone. These can be tied up over the Blue Moon suede of the tongue, whose centre is adorned with a dark navy branding patch. Here, the words “Jordan” and “Jumpman” have been sewn in a stylised white font with a teal Jumpman sitting between them.
Another of these logos can be found on the patch on the back of the tongue, and a larger one has been printed onto the insole. Otherwise, the inner is entirely coated in plush Blue Moon fabric, for a soft feeling around the foot. Back on the outer, a small heel tab has been formed by excess material from the inner lining, its surface displaying the number 23 in the familiar shade of teal from elsewhere on the shoe. Finally, a small Jumpman has been embroidered into the centre of the suede panel below it, thus completing this suave sneaker with one last hint of teal blue.
