The white leather upper that provides the base for these Nike Air Force 1 ‘07 LV8 sneakers underpins a compelling design that is full of neat surprises. A fully white outsole sets things off, its rings of ever-increasing size offering the wearer firm traction through every twist and turn. Atop this rests another white layer in the form of an Air-cushioned midsole which adds soft padding to go along with the grip of the rubber section below it.

On the upper, leather overlays encircle the heel and toe, while the midfoot panels and toe box are set back to bring depth to the design. Perforations make the shoe perfectly breathable, and white laces pull the eyestay tight over the foot. A tiny black swoosh has been embroidered into the toe end of the eyestay, becoming just the first of many fine details that lend the sneaker a style all of its own.

Elsewhere, smooth black swooshes glide along the surface of the midfoot and rear overlay, but it is the pair of captivating yellows that really catches the eye. The medial forefoot contains an Opti Yellow star, while the lateral side of the heel is adorned with a summery flower logo that combines a black centre with yellow petals. Inside the dark middle section, a smiley face complete with a Nike swoosh stands out in white. Just above this, the heel tab comes in a much deeper shade of yellow called Dark Sulphur. The wording embroidered into it reads “Have A Nike Day”, for a playful twist on the usual branding text. Finally, the white tongue tab and insole are each decorated with an Opti Yellow swoosh and Nike lettering alongside a black stamp with the text “From Beaverton With Love” – a friendly message for anyone who sees it.
