Nike Dunk Low Premium

The classic black and white outer of this Nike Dunk Low Premium is highlighted with off-white tones for a retro feel. Known as the Vintage Panda as a result, it rests upon a grippy black rubber outsole with circular tread patterns below the toe and lugs under the heel. This delivers all-round traction so that the wearer can move about with confidence, while the Coconut Milk midsole lends the shoe heritage style through its slightly off-white colouration. Within this feature, gentle foam cushioning adds comfort to the stability derived from the outsole, before its exterior adds a finely crafted touch through the line of stitching that runs around its entire circumference.

On the upper, the iconic Panda construction has been employed, firstly via the white leather that can be seen on the toe box, the midfoot and around the centre of the heel, then in the black overlays of the forefoot and the back of the shoe. Lines of ventilation holes in the toe provide high levels of breathability, while the white portion that curves around the heel holds three parallel lines of stitching to match the intricate detailing that appears on the edges of the overlays. On the forefoot mudguard and rear panel, the stitching is formed in double lines, with that on the black leather eyestay coming in a single fine strip. Coconut Milk laces thread through this feature to criss-cross over the white tongue, which contains a white label with black Nike branding woven into it.

The shoe’s padded inner lining is beautifully soft and is made from a black fabric that is decorated with a series of narrow bands, giving it an offbeat aesthetic and a pleasing texture. Below it, the insole is also black, and a set of white Nike text adorns its surface beside a swoosh in the same light hue. On the back of the foot, a semi-circular panel made of more premium black leather resides at the top of the heel. Thick white thread forms the word “Nike” in its surface, and black leather swooshes materialise from beneath it to power down the white flanks, forging a contrastive conclusion to this charming Panda sneaker.
