Nike Air Humara

This desirable Nike Air Humara colourway has been inventively nicknamed Oreo for its appealing juxtaposition of black and silvery white hues. The outsole sets the tone for the overall theme of the shoe by having black across most of its solid rubber surface, including the slanting grip pads below the forefoot and the back of the foot, the smooth area through the midfoot and the studded sections on the flanks, toe and heel. Diamond-shaped Metallic Silver adornments speckle the rear part of the forefoot, and a trail emblem with a small swoosh inside of it shows up underneath the arch of the foot.

Beneath the heel, a larger swoosh can be found along with the word “Air”, both in Metallic Silver, and Zoom Air text has been thinly embossed onto the outsole to hint at the bouncy cushioning hidden inside the midsole. This last component is covered in a textile wrap with a captivating black-and-white grid pattern decorating its large exterior. As well as having Zoom cushioning in the forefoot, this feature also contains a pocket of Nike Air in the heel, thus providing the wearer with the top levels of comfort along the full length of the foot.

Meanwhile, the upper blends an underlayer of black fabric with black suede overlays, for sophistication and style. Alongside the mudguards that protect the forefoot, flanks and heel, additional suede panels form an archway over each sidewall, framing the shoe’s webbed lacing system as they go. This consists of several black textile bands, each with a white stripe of interlocking arrows down the centre, which travel beneath the sidewall overlays before looping back on themselves to return the way they came. As they progress under the suede panels, their progress is traced by white stitching that stands out brightly against the black surface it has been woven through, giving the flanks an eye-catching aesthetic. Each loop created by these textile bands acts as an eyelet for the black laces to pass through on their way up the tongue. Here, they are further secured by another piece of textile that has been attached along the centre of the black tongue. At the top, it forms a pull tab to help the wearer get the shoe on easily, while at the bottom it connects to a T-shaped overlay made of Metallic Silver leather.

Inside the shoe, the lining and sockliner are coated in a flexible black fabric that offers a snug fit around the foot. A white trail logo has found its place on the insole, and a white patch has been sewn into the back of the tongue, both pieces generating tonal variation on the inner. Back on the outer, the heel hosts a set of layered overlays. First, there is a Metallic Silver panel with diagonal edges, then more black-and-white textile strips, one of which reaches above the collar to form a second pull tab. Atop these elements is an oval of black suede with a silver swoosh embroidered into its centre.

Yet more embroidery can be discovered elsewhere on the outer, such as on the lateral side of the heel, where Air text has been woven into the suede overlay, once again in a contrasting shade of silvery white. The tongue displays more fine craftsmanship via another oval-shaped patch, this one with a black suede centre, a white border and a bright white swoosh in the middle. Finally, Metallic Silver swooshes light up the flanks, bringing a shiny conclusion to this strong Air Humara design.
