The colour scheme on this Jordan 1 Retro High ‘Lost and Found’ was inspired by the well-known Chicago, its look imbued with various retro elements. It is set upon a Varsity Red outsole with the familiar circular grip patterns below the forefoot and more linear ones in the heel. Its surface has a weathered effect that brings it a vintage look in keeping with its inspirations – a time when sneakers were lost in stock rooms only to be rediscovered later in a worn state. Also in reference to this time, the midsole has been given an aged appearance via the use of an off-white tone known as Muslin, which covers it from heel to toe. Inside, it still holds a cushioning pocket of encapsulated Air for maximum comfort underfoot.

A classic colour arrangement appears on the upper, firstly on the toe box and midfoot panels, both of which are decorated in Sail tones. Varsity Red overlays have been placed atop this retro-looking layer. They form the forefoot mudguard, the eyestay, the heel counter and the collar wrap. This last feature contains a pair of Air Jordan Wings in black, and behind it, the black collar has a faux oxidised exterior that adds further to the worn effect. On reaching the topline, the colour changes to a more solid black, which extends along the entire inner lining. Meanwhile, the insole is white with Varsity Red Nike Air branding printed onto it.

Over the top of the foot, Sail-coloured laces tie up over an off-white tongue. Forward of this feature, the toe box is marked with a series of perforations organised into a fan shape. These provide breathability around the front of the foot while also bringing it an intriguing aesthetic. A Varsity Red patch has been sewn into the top of the tongue, and another set of Nike Air branding is woven into it, this time in Sail.

In the centre of the heel, just above the heel counter, is a small square of red leather. Either side of it, a band of off-white leather runs away from it above a line of black leather that does the same. On each flank, the former becomes the midfoot panel, and the latter is the tail end of the swoosh. This instantly recognisable logo stands out strongly against each off-white sidewall to complete this heritage design with a dynamic flourish.
